Osaka is one of the most popular and largest cities in Japan. It is extremely culturally diverse. We can visit many restaurants, monuments, amazing buildings and picturesque parks. Osaka is a very popular destination for tourists, so it is worth knowing what attractions this amazing Japanese city has to offer. List of 20 attractions you must visit in Osaka. 1. Visit Sennichimae shopping street.
This street is called the kitchen street of Osaka, and for good reason. There you will find plenty of Japanese kitchen accessories, from the most sophisticated ones to the worst quality plastics imitating food.
2. Go on a ride on the Ferris wheel.
The Tempozan Ferris Wheel in Osaka is a fantastic tourist attraction in the city. It has a diameter of 100 meters and rises to over 112 meters. This makes it one of the largest in the world. While staying in the gondola, we can admire the views of Osaka Bay and the surrounding mountains.
3. Shop at America – mura.
America – mura, or America Village, is a district of Osaka close to the Shinsaibashi range. There you will find plenty of cafes, boutiques and galleries where you can buy clothes, among others. in vintage style.
4. Visit the Hozen-ji temples
Guidebooks don't say much about this temple, but it is a place worth visiting. The temple was built in 1637 and is known mainly for its moss-covered Buddha statue.
5. Go to the Dōtonbori district
It is a lively, bright and fun district in Osaka. You will find plenty of Japanese culinary delicacies there, but fashion fans will also find their place there. Here you can go on a cruise on the Tonbori River and see the famous Glico Man.
6. Take a break at Minoo Park

It is definitely a place where we can completely calm down and relax. The picturesque park looks exceptionally beautiful, especially in autumn. 7. Visit Tsutenkaku Tower The Tsutenkaku Tower is as important to the Japanese as the Eiffel Tower is to the French. Built in 1912, it attracts many tourists from all over the world. However, it was rebuilt after the fire. Head to the tower's viewing platform and admire the Osaka skyline.
8. Ride the subway train
The Osaka metro is almost 130 km long. They are characterized by underground transport, as the metro usually does, but also by above-ground transport, which allows travelers to admire the city.
9. Visit Osaka Castle
This castle was built for over 15 years. During this time, it was rebuilt many times, and many years later it was clearly announced as one of the 100 most beautiful castles in all of Japan.
10. Visit the Shitennō – ji temple
This temple is the first Buddhist temple in all of Japan. It is the scariest official place of religious worship. It consists of many buildings, and each of them has a different meaning.
11. Go to the modern Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
This is one of the largest such aquariums. During the visit, tourists are transported to the world of deep ocean waters or Antarctica.
12. Admire the twin towers

These two towers have become, in a sense, a symbol of the entire city. One of them is located in the city center and offers a wonderful view of the entire city. The second one is already standing on the outskirts of Osaka. There is the second one, over 100 meters high, made of steel, the Kobe port tower.13. 15. Umeda Sky
This is one of the examples of modern Japanese architecture. We can go there to the viewpoint and admire the city from a height of over 170 meters. 16. Visit the Universal Studios Japan theme park It is one of 4 such parks in the world. Both children and adults will be happy visiting this place, regardless of their interests.
17. Discover the temples of Isshinji
You will find plenty of Buddha statues there, as this is what this temple is famous for. An interesting fact is that they were made of human bones. Most of the oldest dowries, however, did not survive the bombings during World War II. 18. Admire the harbor and the Inland Sea Such views are offered by Cosmo Tower, which is one of the tallest buildings in Japan, at 256 meters above sea level.
19. Take a walk in Osaka Castle Park
This picturesque park is an important part of Japan's history. It is the second largest urban park in the world. There you will find a large sports field, a music theater and an open-air concert hall.
20. Osaka Dome
Osaka Dome is simply a stadium in the Nishi district where baseball matches are most often played. This may not be a unique point in the guide, but it will be a cool experience for sports fans.
